We are very excited to announce that planning permission has been granted for the installation of a new extract duct as part of M&E works to a Grade II listed building in the centre of London.
The client, the owner of the restaurant Da Mario on Gloucester Road, Kensington, required a new extraction fan to be installed to the rear of the premises to serve the restaurant kitchen. As the building is Grade II listed and cited within a conservation area, special consideration was required for both the building and the local area, especially in relation to local & environmental planning policies along with acoustic requirements.
Bourne Rural Planning Consultancy were appointed to submit the planning application itself and deal with any requests and queries from the Planning and Conservation Officers. Temple Ford Design were appointed to undertake the drawing up of both the existing and proposed plans and produce a Design & Access and Heritage Impact Statement along with research into the building and its history.
